10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering 1st -5th October 2017

Chemstations Europe to participate in the 10th WCCE2017 in Barcelona and to present two scientific posters:

“Process Simulation Cup 2017”: 2-3.10.2017, Session Name: TOPIC 1 - KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & TRAINING - 1.3. Teaching Engineering Design Safety & Sustainability. The poster presents the contest problem of the PSC 2017, a successful international challenge for students launched in 2015. This year’s challenge asks the participants to “Optimize the Controller Settings for a Bio-Gas to Power Process using Block-Type Thermal Power Stations”. The main idea behind the presentation is to promote chemical engineering as being fun and instructive among students from all over the word. The academics also can use and have used the task as an excellent graded classroom exercise.

“New Unit Operations in a Commercial Process Simulator”: 4-5.10.2017, Session Name: TOPIC 4 - PROCESS SYSTEM ENGINEERING - 4.1. Computer Aided Process Engineering (integrated in ESCAPE-27). The poster addresses the problem of coding of scientific models. It has been widely acknowledged that science presents new models for UnitOps on a regular basis. However, only a fraction of them gets implemented into commercial process simulators. The poster depicts the workflow to generate the program code of the unit op.” The goal is to demonstrate that the advocated process enables any scientist to get their models implemented in the commercial realm.

Chemstations Europe team looks forward to meeting you in Spain!
