We are always open to people with innovative ideas and the energy to make things happen. In return, we offer a chance to grow and the space to be yourself at your best.

You…

You want to move forward and have the enthusiasm required to see tasks through to the end. You have high standards when it comes to quality. You are not intimidated by roles that require you to act autonomously. As a team player, you volunteer to do things before being asked. You like to keep the big picture in mind. You enjoy the challenge of communicating with people in other countries and clients from a variety of departments and hierarchy levels.

Your working environment

Hierarchies have little relevance in our work processes. If you are handling a task effectively, we let you get on with it. You are free to identify new tasks yourself.

Processes play a major role. A good process is fun – because it does what it is supposed to in a straightforward way. You are given responsibility for your processes, with substantial freedom to organize your related tasks as you see fit.

Coaching is part of our day-to-day work. For every one of your tasks, someone is on hand to provide technical advice and practical guidelines. In little time, you will become a coach yourself.

The team is clearly defined, so everyone knows what everyone else is doing. You always work as part of the whole: you know what the group is trying to achieve and how your output will be incorporated. All team members can support each other. All of our employees have contact with our clients. For decades, Chemstations has made a point of providing direct customer contact. This unique selling point, a characteristic validated in our regular customer surveys, is an important part of your role.

Our software is developed in Houston, Texas. You are a representative for the ‘European market’ for Product Management and Development in the US – you take detailed ideas and requirements and strategically relevant information and translate them into the functionality of the next program version.

Your expertise

You know your stuff. Chemical engineering is where you feel at home. You might not have been working in this industry for decades – but you still feel an intense connection. CHEMCAD allows you to simulate almost all chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, mechanical and environmental processes. This is such a broad field that it could never be covered in depth by any one person. Nevertheless, you are well acquainted with “your particular area”.

You know how to get things done. In addition to your technical knowledge, you also know how to apply this knowledge effectively. You never stop learning new technical knowledge and practical skills throughout your entire career. Your capacity for ‘lifelong learning’ makes all the difference.

Your perspectives

Even without a hierarchy, we can give you the chance to grow. Our structure will always remain small. Even so, you will be able to grow as your tasks and responsibilities evolve. We discuss your progression on a one-to-one level. A progress talk is arranged every six months, where we agree on new objectives and discuss how you can meet these objectives successfully.
